Mlini
From low-fi fuzz and quirky beats, to sparse and sparkling melancholy, catchy and melodic with a hint of a 50's slap back delay through vintage amps. Mlini are a London based four-piece band formed in 2008. With a fondness for vintage valve amps, analogue delays and organic sounds, Mlini create songs with the raw and ragged edges of Low and Neil Young, the quirkiness of Pavement and the production of Sparklehorse. Their more sparse moments touch on the melancholy and textures of Nick Cave and Radiohead. Their influences include Neil Young, Scott Walker, Nick Cave and The Bad Sees, Wilco, Radiohead, Low, Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, Arcade Fire, Pixies, The Black Keys. Mlini's debut release 'The Mlini EP' encompasses lo-fi fuzz, quirky kinetic beats and sparse, sparkling melancholy. Read more on Last.fm.
