There are 6 artists with this name. 1. Modus is one of the most popular pop/rock bands in Slovakia. They were founded in 1967 in line-up Ján Baláž , J. Kratochvíl, P. Krutek, T. Psota, Luboš Stankovský, G. Wertlen, Miro Žbirka). In the year 1972, they added keyboardist, composer (and later leader of the band) Ján Lehotský. They added popular singer Marika Gombitová in 1976 and later won Czechoslovak music contest Bratislavska lýra in 1977 with song Úsmev. In the year 1978 they replaced drummer and bassguitarist. Modus with star line-up (1978) were : drummer Dušan Hájek, bassguitarist Laco Lučenič, singer Marika Gombitová, singer and guitarist Miro Žbirka, keyboardist and composer Janko Lehotský. In 1978 they von Bratislavská lýra with song Dievčatá (Girls). In 80s Miro Žbirka, Dušan Hájek and Laco Lučenič formed new band - Limit (very popular in Slovakia too). The band Modus continues with members as Marián Greksa, Milan Vyskočányi, Ivona Novotná and again drummer Luboš Stankovský (he is drumming and singing in his song „Ty, ja a môj brat“).
