Monssfisch
The origins of Monssfisch can be traced back to 1994, when a young man, called Matthew Inness, got his very first guitar. It was a small piece of shit basically. He couldn't tune it but had great fun trying. He spent his days playing in his room to Nirvana, until the day that best bud Dan Lloyd (now on the drums for Monssfisch) got a bass guitar from Santa. They still played to Nirvana, just trying to play their instruments as best they could. The next major breakthrough came in the form of Richard Hinchcliffe. He had a guitar and as Matt and Dan were looking to expand the band past rocking in bedrooms to the stereo, they asked him to join, which he did, and so began the story of Monssfisch as we know and love it today. Now as a trio (Matt and Rick on guitars, Dan on bass, drum machine on drums), Monssfisch played mainly in Matts garage. Doing covers of songs like Machine Head by Bush, and various Green Day and Nirvana songs, their weekly band practices became very popular, sometimes with the garage packed to capacity with eager fans. Dan and Inness, both quite accomplished musicians by now, taught their own unique styles to Rick, who also added his influences of Brian May, Eric Clapton and Joe Satriani to the band, which gave birth to a fusion of punk and classic rock, which is what Monssfisch were playing at the time.
