moskovSKAya – the name is programatic and the band from southern germany has become cult for years. The 8 musicians play ska for 16 years. moskovSKAya present their SKA fast, melodical and enriched with elements from polka to punk, from reggea to jazz. You have to dance whenever the fast moskovSKAya off-beat provocates you to move, wheather in clubs or on big open-airs, wheather in Germany or in other countries. In uncountable shows, even as support of Bob Geldof, Manfred Mann, The Specials and others moskovSKAya with it´s striking horn-section and it´s catchy lyrics established itself in the top of the german SKA-Scene. This december their fourth CD „Zeit (time)“ will be available. 4 years after the last album now finally a new longplayer of the south-german SKA-Band appears. Time changes, and for moskovSKAya this means some replacements in the last years. Tough the band plays furtheron in the first division of german SKA-Bands. Hardly another group managed to vehemently avoid commerce-requirements and anyway – or maybe even therefore – to assemble and keep a huge supra-regional fanbase. Honesty is their first rule, and this is also noticeable on their fourth CD. With the album „Zeit (Time)“ moskovSKAya starts a new offensive for german SKA-music. Beside fast off-beat songs like “That Girl” or “Can I see you dancing” in classical moskovSKAya-style there are excursions to blues with the song “It´s the SKA” and to Reggea and Dub. The songs “...
