NovaThrone
NovaThrone is a 5-piece progressive death metal band from Covington, Louisiana. They utilize 8-string guitars alongside ambient, space-oriented key sounds to achieve their own blend of modern death metal. NovaThrone originally formed under the name Meridian in mid 2012, and shortly after, released their debut full-length Paradigm. Released through Total Deathcore, the album had an overall warm reception. Since the release of Paradigm the band underwent a name and style change, shifting from breakdown oriented deathcore, to a more technical and riff driven sound. Technical riffs and crushing growls collide with ambient melodies and the occasional clean vocals to characterize NovaThrone's own brand of progressive death.
