Onda


There are several artists called Onda. 1.) Swedish rapper Onda (Per Magnusson) who died of cancer on the 11th of August 2016. Onda was a member of the rap group STHLM Inkasso. Onda's style was deeply influenced by the US southern rap scene (Dirty South). He was the drummer (under the moniker Ju Desto) of Henry Fiat's Open Sore between 1997 and 2000. 2.) A NYC-based collective of musicians, composers, producers and DJs, ONDA was formed in 2000 by Rene Arsenault, Michaelangelo L’Acqua and Gregg Fine. Since then, ONDA has written, recorded and remixed music for major record labels, provided original scoring, music supervision & licensing for films, television commercials & fashion shows and has performed at clubs & venues around the globe. After acting as musical directors for Tom Ford’s Gucci and YSL European collections in 2001, ONDA was tapped by JSM Music as an in-house production team. While at JSM, ONDA scored an award winning Cotton, Inc television campaign, recorded their first singles for Naked Music/Astralwerks and continued to collaborate with designers in New York, Milan, and Paris. After a year at JSM, ONDA Studioes opened its doors in NYC’s meatpacking district.
