There are at least 9 bands named Osiris: 1) A band from the rhythm game Band Yarouze! featuring seiyuu Masanori Kobayashi as the lead vocalist. 2) A progressive thrash band with some technical flair, with early Watchtower and Queensrÿche influences noted on occasion. The band faded away after the one album. 3) A good-time rock 'n' roll band out of Salt Lake City, UT. 4) Danish Protest Rock band from the hippie era, who wrote the anthem for the Christiania Freestate within Copenhagen. 5) An old band from Columbus, Ohio 6) A Dutch hardcore artist named Osiris a.k.a. Maurice Daniluk. Hardcore producer and DJ from the East of Holland. Resident DJ at the 'Oldschool Madness' parties 7) A funk band from Washington D.C. The group consisted of Osiris Marsh on lead vocals, Tony Jones and Tyrone Ty Brunson on bass guitars (having two was intended to add extra funk to their sound), Maceo Bond on keyboards, Ron Holloway on tenor saxophone, Brent Mingle on guitar and Jimmy Sha-Sha Stapleton on percussion. With influences ranging from Parliament/Funkadelic, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Sly and the Family Stone, Osiris was interested in the culture of ancient Egypt (hence the name) and the roots of African Americans altogether. 8) There was also a band in the mid 1980's from St. Petersburg, Fl. with the name 'Osiris'.
