Politicks
Politicks is a band from Washington DC, active from 2004- 2009. Reminiscent of 90's hip-hop/rock fusion bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Scapegoat Wax, Politicks takes things one step further by adding hints of funk/reggae, pop, and soul to the mix. Formed by some friends at Radford University, Politicks released their first professional album, Two Coffees, One Juice in 2006. Having shared the stage with big names including The Roots, Lauryn Hill, and India.Arie, they joined the Heineken Red Star Soul Tour in the fall 2006. In 2007, Politicks earned a spot on Fox's The Next Great American Band reality show. They also performed with a reformed Blind Melon. Read more on Last.fm.
