The history of the band goes back to 1999 when Adam Goniszewski, Marek Heimburger and Marcin Jaśkiewicz started a band called a.r.m. After that Marek quit the band and started to play in Moongarden whereas Adam and Marcin joined the band Aranei together with Przemek Nagadowski (Triquetra) and Łukasz Bawolski. They changed the name into Popcore in 2000 and this is the year when the history of the band Popcore actually begins. In August 2002 they won the first prize in the rock bands contest in Olsztynek (with Piotr Szymański from Big Day in jury amongst others). They also took part in Ostrock in Ostróda in 2002 where they were very warmly welcomed by the audience.
