Rua
Rua may refer to a number of bands/artists: 1. A Celtic Fusion band originally from Scotland, before settling in Christchurch, New Zealand. Lead by Pipes/Whistle player Jimmy Young, who has been with the group since it's inception. Other core members include James Wilkinson on vocals, fretless bass and guitars and Denny Stanway on vocals and percusion. 2. Spelled RUA. A Dutch Metal band fronted by a female singer. See www.myspace.com/ruamusic RUA plays an exhilarating new type of stoner metal, drenched in punk , grunge, rock and psychedelica creating a volatile mix that provides the perfect reaction against a lot of standard female-fronted metal bands. Imagine bands like Prong and Helmet clashing with Nina Hagen or P.J. Harvey and you’ll have a good impression of what the group sounds like. 3. Liz Madden recorded three original albums under the name, Rua. These are, Rua, Dream-Teller (2003), and Whisper (2008). 4. RUA is also a german female rapper currently in PA Sports Label Life Is Pain. Read more on Last.fm.
