Contrary to what is expected of a conservative state like Texas, he found a city that revolved around music and its thousands of university residents. The city's motto was taken quite seriously: Keep Austin Weird (wasn’t that Portland, OR’s motto?). He ended up in a big house, where a hundred other people lived. He met good people who lived without foreseeing the next step, or planning for the future; people who made music every day and every hour with the most sincere will, and who knew how to make the most of the opportunities that appeared. With the help of some of these people, he composed and recorded seven songs, in an attempt to record and take with him a little of what he lived and learned from them. In the expectation that the sounds and letters have managed to capture the spirit of the place. But if you have not succeeded, that at least the mixture between the carioca guitar and the Texan banjo is worth it.
