Ruslana Stepanivna Lyžyčko or Ruslana, born 24 May 1973 in Lviv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, is a World Music Award and Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) winning artist with 'Wild Dances'. (2004). She is also a famous social activist. She actively supported the democratic processes in Ukraine 2004/2005 (the Orange Revolution). She has used her music to fight human trafficking. She is an artist in genres as pop, rock and ethnopop. Her album Wild Energy (2008) contains collaborations with T-Pain and Missy Elliott. The popular video game Grand Theft Auto IV uses Ruslana's voice as the host of the fictive radio station Vladivostok FM. Her song 'Wild Dances' is one of the songs played in the game. She used old Slavic rhythms in her album EY-fori-YA (2012).
