The Dutch producer and DJ Pim van Horssen started producing and playing at the age 
of 16 and by time he was 19 he had already played in parties and clubs all over the world. He had several joined projects in styles ranging from electrohouse to triphop. In early 2008 he started his solo project: SQL The Definition of SQL or “Sequel” is “a published, broadcast, or recorded work that continues the story or develops the theme of an earlier one.” This is pretty much what 22year old producer Pim van Horssen trys to accomplish with his productions and livesets, create an interesting storyline that develops troughout his music. Because of this you canʼt really pin him to one single genre within electronic music, his productions fresh and innovative. In 2009 his most succesfull release till date “Distorted Reality” reached nr.1 in the beatport charts and held this position for weeks! It was played by some of the top djʼs of the scene like Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola. This gave SQLʼs career a huge boost and placed him along the top producers of the scene. After this milesstone several other releases like “Dark Matter ft. Tom Real” and “Synaesthesia” reached the charts worldwide. These releases made SQLʼs productions high in demand. Labels like MBF , SK Supreme and BEEF requested him to remix some major artists.
