Miami has for years been the career launching grounds for mega talents such as Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, and Enrique Iglesias. The city, known for its love of music and dance, has now sunk its talent hungry teeth into its newest shining star, Latina Pop Princess, CeCe Segarra. This young and vibrant songstress embodies what it takes to be strong, youthful and independent, giving life to songs that are powerfully self-written and full of emotion. She describes her music as being “influential, upbeat, happy music that will inspire and entertain”. The self proclaimed “Trekkie” and videogame enthusiast has her own style, providing the music industry with a fresh new pop sound that will leave people wanting more. Born in Yonkers, New York and raised in Florida, CeCe was the middle child who had no problems stealing the spotlight. She knew she wanted to perform since she could remember; stepping on stage at a school play at only 5, she recalls knowing, “This is what I want do with my life”. CeCe continued to perform in school plays, and locally for her church, cultivating her passion for dance and song. CeCe found herself entranced by the feeling of power and self-confidence dance and performing gave her while on stage. At the age of 15, she trained professionally at the world renowned, Joffrey Ballet School.
