Selah

There are four separate artists/groups going by the name 'Selah' - a Dove award-winning Christian band from Tennessee, a solo independent British artist, a solo American Christian (Lisa Watkins) and a defunct CCM group that recorded two albums in the mid 1970s for the labels Singcord and Milk and Honey. 1) Selah is a Christian band that has been featured on The 700 Club, The Hour of Power, and TBN. The original 3-person line up consisted of Nicol Sponberg, Allan Hall, and Todd Smith. Their success came quick when they released their first album, Be Still My Soul, in 1999, and would win a Dove Award for that album soon afterwards. They quickly earned a reputation for being able to reveal the heart of any song they record [1] with their music, doing well-known covers of already-famous songs such as You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban and Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. In 2004, Nicol Sponberg departed the group, and was replaced by Amy Perry. Sponberg released her solo debut, Resurrection, that same year on Curb Records; the single Crazy In Love crossed over to the secular Adult Contemporary charts while songs like Safe continued to earn her airplay on Christian radio. 2) Selah is also a solo British independent artist. In the National Voice of '99 talent show, Selah was one of the youngest entrants at age 11 and beat competitors to reach 2nd place. She has two LPs, 'Growing Pains, Vol.1', and there is also a Vol. 2. Her label is Base N Rebulz Entertainment/River Sity ...
