Smackulator
an alias of: Speculator Smackulator is William Burnett (aka Speculator) and Danny Wolfers (aka Smackos). Smackulator was born on an afternoon walk in the park when the two men were discussing their appreciation for ghetto house music, the Dance Mania record label, pitchshifters, and the Boss DR 660 drum machine. After an afternoon and night of these white boys trying to emulate all things ghetto house, Smackulator was born. A joke gone on too long landed the boys a live show along with Brian Chinetti (Orgue Electronique) at the Royal Dutch Theater. Things progressed and a USA tour and a record released on Bunker soon came. Smackulator is a very intense, high bpm, modern version of Chicago’s Dance Mania Records. Often the use of a deejay for scratching and mixing over the tracks (past deejays include Brian Chinetti, Chupacabras, and DJ Overdose) leads to a very chaotic and hyper show. Read more on Last.fm.
