Starshy is the cynical musings of one man from Glasgow. The very same man that hides behind Bubblegum Records. Wrapped in twee with darkness lurking in the shadows, this DIY project attempts to write, record, mix and complete each track within a matter of hours. So far, it seems to be working. It's 1st release (52nd and 2nd) under the moniker Bubblegum Summer was with Series Two Records in 2008. An electronic ode to the beauty of 53rd and 3rd records - it remains a firm favourite. The next release (Short and Sweet) will be under the name Starshy. As the songs took on a darker edge Bubblegum Summer just didn't feel right anymore and so Starshy was born.
