Sum1 was born in Tehran, Iran. He became fond of his brother's guitar at age of 19. Playing guitar, making melodies and writing songs, made his friends encourage him to Do Something! He chose the name Sum1 for his artistic career, meaning someone and also similar to his name: Saman.
