There are many bands named Torment, for example: 1.) Torment, a world famous hardcore band hailing from Melbourne, Australia, having played their first show in January, along with a demo looking set for an early 2013 release. 2.) Torment, Death Metal band from Belgium. Founded in the summer of ‘99 by Jens Decaluwé (guitar), Nicolas Hernandez (drums), Ullie Vandendriessche(vocals) and David Caytan (bass). Curd “Carlos” Callewaert completed them on guitar. Their homebase is near Kortrijk - Belgium.   Torment plays 90’s old school influenced death metal with a dark, strange melancholic atmosphere. 3.) Torment is a German thrash band formed in 1984 and still active today. Their lyrical content focuses mainly on sex, alcohol, and metal. Their recent albums feature “Torment” as subject in title names. 4.) Torment, psychobilly band originally formed by Simon Brand, Sean Holder and Kevin Haynes in the second half of 1985. Sean Holder knew Simon Brand as they both were band members of a Bristol-based Rockabilly band in 1984, under the Jumpin Jacks moniker and Sean and Kevin had been playing with the Joint Jumpers, when Kevin was introduced to Simon. The fellows kept in touch. Simon Brand wasn't active on the rockin' scene since he was asked to leave Frenzy and had left the Jumpin Jacks the year before and Kevin Haynes and Sean Holder were also looking for a new opportunity as the Joint Jumpers didn't seem to go anywhere.
