Tripsitter


There are at least two bands named Tripsitter. 2) A melodic hardcore band from Innsbruck, Austria. The band formed in March of 2012 and put out two EPs in their first years as a band. In 2019, they released their debut album The Other Side of Sadness via Prosthetic Records where they fuse elements of hardcore punk, shoegaze and atmospheric sludge metal. They have since toured with bands such as Polar and Acres. The band consists of Meinhard Meindl Taxer (guitar, vocals), Christopher Jais (guitar), Hubert Hubi Halder (bass) and Alex Farnik (drums). 2) A powerpop, retrorock band from Las Vegas, United States. Tripsitter is a band formed in 2003 by five guys based on the West Coast. They released their first album, a self-titled EP, in 2003. It was followed by the album California Son in 2005. Currently two additional cover songs, Staring at the Sun and Wah-Wah, have been released. Their next album is planned for mid-2007. Their sound and particularly their harmonies are heavily influenced by Brian Wilson, one of their heroes. Their sound in general has also been compared to the Beatles, Queen, and Ben Folds Five.
