Typhon


There are at least five artists named Typhon. 1.) A split-up black metal band from Colombia originally formed in 1994. The four-piece released one demo and a full album titled Unholy Trilogy. Typhon founded one of the first Satan's private cult Los Lobos in Medellin, they have been arrested some times for some irregularities in their concerts that Colombian police are not allowed to permit. Mauricio Bull Metal Montoya was the owner of Warmaster records and released the infamous Mayhem bootleg Dawn of the Black Hearts. They also released a demo in 1993 with 2 tracks - Magnificent Ritual Killer and The Roman God. There exists a split tape limited to 400 with the old thrash metal band Blasfemia released by Mala Fide Records. This tape is an unofficial re-release of the Unholy trilogy album and of the Blasfemia's EP Guerra Total. 2.) Typhon's history traces back in the summer of 2007 when Koski decided to form a band in order to play something harsher and more atmospheric from his old band (which played Thrash Metal). He found some bandmates and started playing cover songs from Paradise Lost, Dimmu Borgir, Septic Flesh and Carpathian Forest. After a lot of line-up changes, at February 2008 the band with this line-up (Keresztes on vocals, Ra on lead guitar and vocals, Koski on bass and backing vocals, Panos on rhythm guitar and Ntontοs on drums) decides to play its own material.
