Uoh!

Uoh! is mostly an instrumental band from Montevideo, Uruguay. There’s a lot of improvisation that goes from mellow ambient guitars to heavier shouted parts, lot’s of crescendos, feedback distortion, reverb and delay are in place. Pablo Duran, Marcos Miranda, and Hiram Miranda, used to play together in Psiconautas, and started Uoh! as a side project, in 2006, at that time the band started off as guitar-guitar-drums formation. At the beginning they mostly did noise driven improvisations. They recorded their first demo that never got to see the light until 2011 where 75 copies were given away for free at their Brasilian Tour. Juan Brana then joined them for a small period of time in bass-guitar. He stopped playing with the band but he has been their recording engineer in all of their recordings, and co-producer in their demo, their first live album: Uncle John’s Backyard Sessions, and their self-titled EP. Diego Martinez joined them from 2008 to 2010 playing trumpet and keyboards, and recorded together Uncle John’s backyard sessions, and the EP. Manuel Sclavo, who also used to play with them in Psiconautas filled in as keyboardist in 2011, and helped them out on their tours through Brazil and Argentina, as well as recording their latest LP “Manuales Illustrados del Pequeño Tesla Vol 2: Hágalo Usted Mismo”. --- Uoh! es una banda instrumental uruguaya, sus discos se pueden encontrar en www.esquizodelia.com Read more on Last.fm.
