There is more than one artist under this name: 1). One of central/east Africa’s great dance bands. Led by Samba Mapangala and formed in 1981, Virunga (also known as Orchestra Virunga) play dance jams that hark back to Afropop's 70's golden age. 2). Christiaan Toussaint & Jurgen Lomp, two Dutch, young and talented producers better known as Virunga. They have really grown as artists, gaining massive support from superstar DJ's with their productions and DJ'ing.
