Winterwind-NS, Ngawang Samphel, is a member of the Newgrounds Audio Portal. He specializes in classical music. He began working on short piano pieces quite prolifically: nocturnes, preludes, etudes, etc. But didn't lose sight of his orchestral knowledge, with which he also composed, though not as often. To this day, he am more of a piano composer than an orchestral one. He then moved on to creating electronic tracks, fueled by evolving musical tastes--not a lessening of his love for classical, but an expansion of his love for music as a whole. He started by creating simple electronic tracks till he reached a point of semi-proficiency (i.e. his song, The Runway, which was made for a fashion show promo in VCU). After he was comfortable with trance, he moved on to other genres: House, Dance (Our Song), Drum and Bass, Ambient (A Moment of Bliss), and Breakbeat. He's always trying new styles. Over the course of the summer of 2009, he began creating Trip-Hop tracks (Indefinite and Dream Trains). Now that it's summer, I'm trying to work on as many tracks as I possibly can manage, most of which will be Trip-Hop-inspired since I got introduced to it recently by this unimaginably remarkable friend of mine whom they call Dazi.
