Wonderlust


Wonderlust hails from Amsterdam and was founded by Marike Groot (ex-Gathering / Little Mary Big / Mae West) in 2005. She is accompanied by Sander Brink and Mike Voors -- who knew each other from their teens and were somehow brought together again. The band set off to Spain the next year, for a week's long rehearsal session at Jan Pijnenburg's (from Doe Maar fame) residence... And a surprise gig at a local bar. What they play is rock alright, but with influences ranging from new wave to punk to shoegaze to pop music. Earlier this year, they recorded four songs that capture their broad palette of musical tastes. The Butterflies EP is where hopes, dreams and sadness meet. Read more on Last.fm.
