There are five artists using this name: 1) Yara (Arabic: يارا) is a Lebanese female pop singer. Her birthname is Carla, and she was discovered by Lebanese composer Tarek Abou Jaoudeh. Tarek became her producer, and also chose her stage name, Yara. He composed her first single, Hob Kbir, for her and it met with relative success. Yara's debut album, Twassa Fiyeh, came in 2005, with songs in the Egyptian and Lebanese Arabic dialects. Though she only shot a video clip for the title song, the album was a hit throughout the Arab world. In 2006, Tarek composed a duet for Yara and Fadl Shaker. Akhedni Ma'ak became the hit of summer 2006 and made Yara a household name. In 2007, Yara released another single, Bahlam Bi Ainaik, which landed her a shampoo commercial in which she was featured. Later that year, Yara sang her new single, Sedfa, on MBC Album. The song, Yara's first attempt at the Khaliji dialect, was an instant hit and widened Yara's audience beyond her dreams. 2) Yara is a band from Dortmund. 3) Yara is a dark psychedelic trance artists from Caracas, Venezuela 4) Yara is a relatively new artist coming from Russia but already has a few releases laying around the web. His music revolves around ambient dub-ish pieces with emphasis on the ambient side. 5) Yara is a well-known folkloric group from Oruro, Bolivia in South America.
