Seems there are 4 different Yoshi's (actually might be more) 1) Afghan-born rapper/producer currently residing in Brighton, England, Yoshi is the alias of Yusef Misdaq. He has thus far released two albums, mainly via independant record shops in Brighton and via the internet - 'From a Western Box', in 2004, and 'Flowers & Trees' in 2005. 2007 currently sees him working with the Nefisa art collective with his own short film 'Pieces of a Paki' set in near-future Britain. Collaborations include fellow Brightonites The Pipettes (on When U See The Future, Rahma Ali, Diamondscepter and Freezerman. 2) Australian Hard Dance DJ 3) Former keyboardist of ANOTHER STREAM. 4) Japanese Singer/ Rapper /Actor /Model YOSHI (Kasume Sasaki) was born in Hiroshima Prefecture on 26th February, 2003 At the age of 13, he was spotted by the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh and became a model for many brands including Helmut Lang. In May 2019, he became a singer and created an impact in the Japanese music scene. In September of the same year, he took on a cameo role in the movie “Stupid Taro” (タロウのバカ) . In this movie YOSHI will be playing the leading character. YOSHI started his journey to become the top icon of his generation. According to a report by fashion website WWD Japan, YOSHI disclosed that his father was born in Hong Kong and worked as a designer in Okamura, a large Japanese furniture company, while his mother worked in a textile company.
