Artist Name: Zamar Birth Name: Steve Stoddart Birth Place and Date: born in Falmouth, Trelawny (Jamaica) Official Bio Zamar aka Steve Stoddart's music ministry started when he was nine years old with his younger brother Wayne Stoddart who is also a popular gospel reggae artist. They both ministered songs in schools and churches during their earlier years. Zamar started his recording career with the Jamaican gospel group Beloved in 1998. He wrote all eleven tracks on their River of Life album and was featured as lead vocalist on three songs. This project was also produced by Zamar and well received by the Caribbean market. While Zamar was a member of this group he performed at most of the major gospel shows in Jamaica such as Fun in The Sun, Gospel Train, Genesis and Gospel In Motion. Over the years Zamar has shared the stage with the likes of Hezekiah Walker, Papa San, Stichie, DJ Nicholas, Chevelle Franklyn, Toby Mac, Prodigal Son, Change, Trinity 5:7, Carlene Davis and many others. Since then Zamar has kicked off a promising solo career. His first project as a solo artist, Reggae Praise has been getting a tremendous response. From this album, the songs 'Turn It Over Unto God' and 'To Me' are former #1 songs on the Links Fm Roots Reggae Chart in Florida. The title track 'Reggae Praise' has been climbing the charts rapidly since the release of the album and is currently at #12 after three weeks.
