Zedbazi is a Persian Hiphop/Rock/Electronic band formed in 2001, currently based in London (UK), Paris (France), Tehran (Iran) and Dubai (UAE). Members: Alireza JJ, Mehrad Hidden, Nassim, Saman Wilson, Sijal, Sohrab MJ Formed in 2001, ZedBazi was one the first bands in Persian Rap movement early 2000's. They are credited with introducing Gangsta Rap to Iran; Graphic descriptions of sexual encounters, glamorizing the consumption of narcotics, and invitations to physical violence. Between 2001 to 2005 the band became one of the most acclaimed hip hop groups among young adults in Iran. In 2007 the group became a household name with the release of Bi hess and shortly after that their hit-single Tabestoon Kootahe after almost a 2-year hiatus. According to BBC Persian's music show Kook, the song still remains one of the most popular persian rap songs of all time, the reason be the unique blend of persian hip hop and electronic dance music. Shortly after that, they featured on a remix of Erfan's hit-single Khatte Man. In early 2009 the group returned with the release of songs such as Zendegie Mane and Zamin Saafe, Continuing their new electro-hip hop sounds with ambient atmospheres. This followed by singles like Chonke Divoonatam and another highly acclaimed single, Kooche, in which the band explored new territories in their ambient and electronic approach of hip hop.
