Born Kochi Prefecture, Japan. aCae is the solo project, beginning in 2004, of Shotoku Osaki, of the rock band embodys . With a great appreciation for alternative, jazz, acid folk, classical and acoustics, he employs soft warm vocalisms and open spaces, of the kind that have gained his music appreciation in Germany, England and Europe. In December 2004、he was blessed with the opportunity to be involved with Keichi Sogabe's independant record label, Rose Records V.A, and in 2005 was put in charge of scoring a film in Germany. In the English media he was presented as ... a Japanese with an uncommonly English sensibility towards songwriting, bearing some similarities to Thom Yorke. Following this he began a short hiatus that lasted until 2007. That year, his single Black Bard caught the eye of the director of a Norwegian director and was able to have his music distributed to over 40 countries through the online music store Music Recommenders, run by David Bowie.
