Krovo is the main music project of modula t. worm. Krovo's style changes with each release, but constants include an emphasis on creating new rhythms and textures, a heavy use of phase- and frequency-modulation synthesis, and a balance between composition and improvisation. Krovo's music has a wide range which can be only partially described by rigid genres or standard electronic music ideas. One of the main goals of the project is to create a unique sound that can stand on its own, free of musical clichés. Complete success is impossible of course, but it's still fun to try. Some of Krovo's influences include punk music like DNA, glitch artists such as Ryoji Ikeda, electroacoustic improv groups like AMM, electronic musicians like Autechre, as well as many other artists who have paved their own path rather than following the worn-out trails: SND, Muslimgauze, Burning Star Core, Skinny Puppy, Black Dice, DJ QBert, La Peste, and many others. Krovo also takes influence from its independent peers such as artists like Razxca, MushroomWavved Collar, That Horrible Red Ruler, YAWE6Gletshn, DJ Funny Powers, stAllio!, live coding pioneers such as slub, nebogeo, and yaxu, and most (if not all) of the artists who have contributed to the Glitch City netlabel. Philosophically, Krovo is heavily influenced by ideas that expand the definition of music, such as musique concrete, synaesthesia, sonification, and others.
