nova.sephiroth is an Electro-Industrial / Rhythmic Noise project founded 2007 in Aachen, Germany by Morindil Hrívanar. Morindil refers to his music as Nightmare-Industrial, Cyber-Noise or КОШУМАР¹ (ru: NightmareNoise), describing it as a tangled mass of elements from countless genres distorting each other in utter chaos to spawn unpredictable mutants. In fact elements of Techno Industrial and Rhythm n Noise dominate overall, but influences from various other genres like: Power Noise, Aggrotech, Darkcore, Hardcore Techno, Hard Trance, Future Pop and Dark Ambient are also audible with varying degree of distinctness. vocal samples (from media like films, political speeches, commercials, computer games etc) and occasionally spoken vocals are the preferential way to convey a message and address (mostly) controversial topics like: drugs, insanity, escapism, social criticism, virtual reality, artificial intelligence or any kind of new age phenomena, while traditional methods like sung vocals are rarely used. [Name] The name is not related to the Dark Ambient band Sephiroth, but refers to Sephiroth, a fictional character from the role-playing-game „Final Fantasy VII“ respectively the animation movie „Final Fantasy VII Advent Children“.
