Slimpain was born in one of the roughest Neighborhood's in baltimore westside ''McCulloh homes''. As a child slim lived with his mother Juvon,and his younger brother jay rice.As a young man slim enjoyed listening to tupac who became his mentor and always wanted to follow the dreams that Tupac Amaru Shakur left behind for every young man to follow. His talent and love for music began to manifest itself in early childhood, where he could be found rapping on the streets of b-more. slimpain knew early on in his life that he wanted to pursue a career in the music industry. As a young adult, slim served time for a brief period in the county before moving back to baltimore, md. It was in baltimore that pain hooked up with his cousin lil head and uncle deon and recorded the hood hit song train soulja''. The group 'R.D.W' consisted of slimpain, lil head, deon, In 1998 they released the album, street Life Volume 1. slimpain was featured on 6 of the 10 songs including the hits train soulja, McH till i die''and ''independent hustla''.
