There are at least five bands called Sweater: 1) A shortly lived band featuring the artist David Ford that eventually evolved into the internationally ignored pop rock band, 'easyworld'. 2) Brooklyn two piece, experimental folk outfit made up of Richard Vagnino and Jacob Kaplan. 3) The more well known is the Indie Pop/Korean Rock band 스웨터 (Sweater). They are from South Korea led by 이아립 (aka.Earip) and 신세철 aka.Mellowyear. Sweater plays modern rock style music, but not plain guitar pop, even combined Synth pop & electronic sound. They released two albums Staccato Green(2002) and Humming Street(2003) (and an earlier EP in 1999). It is also said that they released their “2.5th” album “Songs in Air” which is a compilation of live performances. This year they released their third studio album “Highlights”. Apart from Sweater, the band members released their solo materials. Earip,taking a break from Sweater, released her debut solo EP named “End of Bando (Peninsula)” and “A Campfire Lit By Somebody”.
