Кирпичи


Кирпичи (Kirpichi; Bricks) — is a rock/rap/funk/rapcore band from St. Petersburg, Russia. The band was formed in 1994 under a name Kirpichi Tyajeli (Bricks Are Heavy), but then got renamed to simply Kirpichi. In 1995 band released live album Live At Polygon. In 1996 guys released their first studio album Кирпичи Тяжелы. It contained elements of rapcore and funk. The next album was the Смерть на Рэйве, released in 1999. Then the group turned to Hip-Hop and created old-school hip-hop album Капитализм 00. After the death of UJ (Evgeny Nazarov), drummer of the band, guitarist and vocalist Vasily Vasin and bassist Danila Smirnov found new permanent drummer Vadim Latyshev and produced album — Сила Ума, released in 2002. In 2004 Ivan Ludevig joined the group to create album Let's Rock, which contained nothing similar to Hip-Hop, but was full of heavy riffs, even close to thrash metal. But Let's Rock is just a compilation of unreleased band tracks since 1994. Everchanging group surprised fans with Царский Альбомъ released in the end of 2005. It was unusually soft for the band, containing elements of Hip-Hop and funk. At the end of 2006 band released 7th album named 7. It's soft, more closer to Царский Альбомъ in sounding.
