Erena graduated from AKB48 on September 27, 2010 in a Team K theater performance. Her blog was closed soon after on November 4. Ono stated that she was going to study in London, but changed her mind and stayed in Tokyo with the reasoning that she couldn't stay away from the entertainment world. Ono released her debut solo single on June 13, 2012, titled Erepyon, and has released five singles and one album to date. In 2014, Ono revealed on her blog that she would be retiring from the entertainment world on July 15, stating that although I was able to do the work I longed for, I found I changed my way of thinking as I grew older, and that perhaps a time will come when I will meet everyone again.
