秦基博


Motohiro Hata (秦基博) born 11 October 1980, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. He debuted under the major label BMG Japan in 2006 with the single Synchro (シンクロ). Hata is the youngest of three brothers. He was born in Nichinan Miyazaki, Japan and moved to Yokohama when he was 2. He began playing guitar at 3. In junior high school, he begin writing songs, and in high school started working fully as a musician. After graduating, he started doing his own compositions. In 2004, he released an independent EP, Orange no Haikei no Akai Seibutsu (オレンジの背景の赤い静物). Late 2006, Motohiro released his first single, Synchro (シンクロ) followed by the mini-album Bokura o Tsunagu Mono (僕らをつなぐもの), and a version of Synchro was used as the theme of WOWOW's dorama , 真夜中のマーチ. One of his biggest hits was the single Uroko (鳞(うろこ)), released on 6 June 2007, followed soon by Ai Chou (青い蝶) in September, along with his first album, Contrast (コントラスト), which debuted in 5th place in the Oricon Charts with 25 thousand copies sold in its first week. His 2008 single Kimi, Meguru, Boku (キミ、メグル、ボク), was his first top 20 hit, reaching #15 on Oricon charts. The song was used as the opening theme for the anime series Itazura na Kiss. Since then, he has had six top 20 singles and two top 10 albums. In August of 2009 he released the single Halation. And early 2010, the live album called Best of Green Mind...
