西村由紀江


Yukie Nishimura (西村由紀江, born May 8, 1967 in Toyonaka, Japan) is a prolific Japanese pianist and composer. She began learning to play the piano at the age of 3. She attended the Tōhō Gakuen College of Drama and Music, during which time she composed her debut album, Angelique, in 1986. From 1988 to 1998 she hosted a TV program called Nishimura Yukie no Nichiyou ha Piano Kibun. During this time period she also composed a number of award-winning soundtracks to TV dramas and movies (101st Marriage Proposal, Partners, Ballistic Kiss). Her most recent original work, an album titled My Stories, was released in February 2015. Read more on Last.fm.
