There are multiple artists named of Lacrymosa: 1) Lacrymosa is a Japanese progressive rock band that combines avant-garde, Rock in opposition and and chamber music into a unique musical style. They have been compared to Univers Zero, Art Zoyd, and Zypressen. Lacrymosa released two albums: Bugbear (1984) and Joy of the Wrecked Ship (1994). 2) Lacrymosa is the stage moniker for Caitlin Pasko, currently signed to Family Records. Her first album, I Was Once (Oh), was released on January 23rd, 2009. It can be purchased on iTunes, eMusic and other online distributors. A physical copy can be purchased from the Family Records website. Lacrymosa's music is a blend of Regina Spektor and Joanna Newsom. Magical, piano based arrangements which feature the whimsical soprano of Ms. Pasko guide us through various tales.
