Посев (Posev, Sowing) was the first musical project of Siberian underground counterculture musician and poet Egor Letov, which is considered to be a predecessor to his famous band Grazhdanskaya Oborona. Posev was formed by Letov in late 1982, and also contained Andrei Babenko and Evgeny Deev. Kuzma Ryabinov, known to be the key member of Grazhdanskaya Oborona after Letov, joined the band in 1984. The band played dirty and noisy garage punk with psychedelic/avant-garde elements and absurdist lyrics. Most of band's songs were re-recorded and remastered by Letov and Ryabinov (because original quality was terrible) in 1989 and released as Grazhdanskaya Oborona's compilation album Посев.
