There are at least seven different outfits who are currently recording or have recorded under the name of Cassette. 1. A band from Gainesvilla, Florida, fronted by Samantha Jones. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2005 on Bakery Outlet Records. 2. A South African 5-piece. Their debut album Welcome Back To Earth was released in 2007 and their second album Who Do You Trust early 2009. 3. A 3-piece New Zealand band who have released two albums ('Cut For Summer', 'The Jingle KIng') and two EPs ('Emo', 'Cancer'). Cassette are associated and often perform with other NZ acts such Lawrence Arabia, Bachelorette and The Phoenix Foundation. A group of bands describe by Mojo magazine as the New Zealand 'Dream Pop' movement. 4. A Boston-based synth pop group. 5. A UK electro band. 6. The solo project of Miami resident Devin Smith, releasing via. Atomisk Records. 7. A peruvian band, who is unable to release proper records. Read more on Last.fm.
