FEITEL was formed by four musicians who had previously worked together in the Austrian medieval music scene and decided to start a new project in 2012 to incorporate the diversity of their manifold musical backgrounds and influences:bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, rauschpfeiffe, bouzouki, and davul meet keyboards, lute, rock drums, e-guitar, and e-bass.The result is a new sound that stylistically slips across the boundaries between medieval, folk, fantasy, rock, and punk music ... a style that’s hard to peg with familiar labels.Closely related genres: medieval rock, power folk, world music (Western European).
