Groundwar, the self proclaimed Columbus' finest and America's worst fucking band adds an array of funk, rap and metal to the underground music scene. Mixing tempos that range from hip-hop to punk and unique bass stylings, with caffinated overpowering guitars and strong stressed out open minded lyrics. Groundwar was formed in the summer of 96 by members Trez, Pat, Nic and JT. Recently they added a second guitarist Timmy B to get a tighter more potent sound. The name groundwar comes from the bands' beliefs in the fight against racism, censorship, and closed mindedness. Their songs talk about these beliefs and speak out against Governmental, Media and other authorities attempt to control language and thought. It's a simple process really humans think in language so if you can control language you can control thought. They are not limited to just those topics their songs are an assortment of other rights, wrongs, conflicts, problems, solutions, and events. Read more on Last.fm.
