Invercauld
INVERCAULD is a solo project by Doyle Finley, generally cataloged as dark ambient. First cdr release was Stormy Night on Cyberblast Records label in 2001. This cd was constructed by a collage of Halloween horror-effects and various other samples, with little or no treatment. It was built around Scottish/Gaelic/Celtic folklore. Next release was Tiamhaidh on Cyclic Law in 2004. This cd was constructed using the same samples as the previous cdr, heavily treated this time, with the addition of a heavy dose of rain/water samples to further the sense of a rainy foggy night in Scotland in the era the folklore originated. Together with Habeeb (Larry Kerr), they created a 19-minute track called Entombed Alive for Somnambulant's 4x3 compilation Narrow Spaces, that will be distributed in 2006. Read more on Last.fm.
