Khaliah was born and raised in Kansas City where she was exposed to a wide range of musical genres and styles, which shaped her undefinable musical appeal. From an early age, Khaliah nurtured her love for music through a variety of musical outlets including orchestra, band, and musical theater. She traveled the world with professional touring companies before coming to Los Angeles to begin her career in the record business. Khaliah is now a regular performer at many local Los Angeles live music venues. A band of outstanding musicians accompanies her and has helped create her signature live sound. Khaliah also produces and hosts her own event, Sovereign, where she performs her original material and invites other independent artists to showcase their talents in front of a live audience. Her debut album, New Category, is a reflection of Khaliah's creative, independent spirit, and her desire to reach her listeners through the purity of music, the resonance of lyrics and the souls of live musicians. Taking those elements and combining them with her love for Hip-Hop and its culture, this Kansas City native is prepared to give music lovers something they haven't heard before.
