Shaan (born Shantanu Mukherjee on September 30, 1972), is an Indian playback singer. Shaan was born into a Bengali family on 30th September 1972 . He is the son of the late music director Manas Mukherjee and brother of singer Sagarika. He is married to Radhika and has two sons, Soham and Shubh. He is the grandson of Jahar Mukherjee. He started his singing career doing pop albums with his singer sister Sagarika. They produced songs like Loveology, which quickly caught on with the youth. He later decided to go solo and has since produced quite a few romantic albums, earning him a lot of popularity. He has now started lending his voice to mainstream Hindi films (Bollywood). In the 1989 movie Parinda, when he was only 15 years of age, Shaan sang a singular line in the song, Kitni Hai Pyari Pyari Dosti Hamari'.
