Sola


Sola is a singer and producer based in South London. After a series of single releases starting in 2018, her debut EP Wealth Has Come was released on June 5, 2020. Her follow-up EP Mami Wata was released on October 2 2020 through Jamz Supernova’s label Future Bounce, following acclaim from DJs on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6Music. Led by her deep and unique voice, Sola flawlessly blends R&B, soul, electronica, and traditional African influence in her experimental production, and has cited [arist]Portishead, Massive Attack, and Burial as inspiration for her dark and genre-bending sound. There are other artists with the same name: Sola was an experimental rock band. Their album, The Bottom, is released through Obey Your Brain Records.
